René Char
To go is enough for me is one of Chedid's favorite expressions from René Char's poem, La Compagne du vannier. For Chedid the most important objective is to be "moving forward." These three words become over the years the motivating principle of her poetic style, distinguished most notably by her innovations in typography and rhythm.
